    Restroom trailers offer mobility and the flexibility to be positioned in various locations. However, there are certain considerations to ensure proper placement and parking. Firstly, restroom trailers are not permitted to be placed on public streets, alleys, or sidewalks without prior authorization from the local municipality or authority. Secondly, mobile bathroom trailers are substantial, particularly when the tank is filled with water or waste. Therefore, a suitable landing surface must be either paved or compacted. If necessary, blocks can be placed beneath each support leg to prevent ground sinking or damage to the surface. Lastly, the parking area must provide sufficient space for trucks to maneuver in and out, and it should be accessible from both sides of the trailer. This is crucial because the backside of the unit houses the mechanical components. In the event of a water or power issue, technicians must have easy access to the service door. While parking against a wall or fence is acceptable, there must be a minimum of 5 feet of clearance between the restroom trailer and any fixed divider (wall or fence).

Power: Lavatory luxury restroom trailers have air conditioning and heating units and need a dedicated 20 amp service. A washing machine, refrigerator, and microwave are typically plugged into a 20A, which looks like a standard 3-prong plug with a “T”-shaped receptacle. Work with your technician to find a dedicated 20A service, as the trailer can’t be parked more than 100 feet from the plug. Water: Each trailer can be connected to the city or local water with a ½” garden water hose, but this must be within 100 feet. If not, a 200-gallon freshwater tank can be filled on site. Supplies: Luxury restroom trailers are clean and fully stocked with supplies for single-day events. Additional supplies (toilet paper, towels, soap, etc.) are under the sink of both men’s and women’s stations.
  • What chemicals do you put in a portable toilet?
    Each lavatory unit requires limited chemical use, so scent tablets eliminate odors. They’re also used for RVs and marine use. They’re safe for all septic tanks and biodegradable. Drop-ins are made with an ultra-concentrated formula without formaldehyde-releasing bronopol. Basic household chemicals like bleach, cleaner, and glass cleaner are used for restroom trailers. Luxury trailers have Meyers brand hand soap and Purely hand sanitizer. AirWick automatic air fresheners spray a pleasant smell every 15-30 minutes.

The Lavatory is different. We integrate taxes and all services into a comprehensive pricing structure. This typically includes the use of a generator and the need for freshwater. Upon delivery and setup, the restrooms are fully stocked with essential supplies, including paper products, sanitation supplies, soap, and hand sanitizer. Additional supplies are conveniently located beneath each vanity and in a designated maintenance closet. The only exception pertains to long-term restroom trailer rentals exceeding one week in duration.
  • Where will the luxury portable restrooms be set up?
    Deciding where to place the portable restroom trailer before delivery is crucial. Several factors need to be considered before setting it up. The most important factor is choosing the right parking spot. Once the trailer is placed, it cannot be moved. The surface area must be flat, cemented, or impacted enough to support up to 25,000LBS. Patios and driveways are ideal locations for setup. Another important consideration is the distance from power and water sources. The mobile restroom trailer cannot be parked more than 100’ from the power and water sources. The trailer’s powered services require a dedicated 20 amp service to adequately power the onsite heating/cooling system and lighting. A longer run than 100’ will not provide enough electricity to power the unit effectively. The same applies to the water hookup. If the distance from the restroom trailer is more than 100’, there may not be enough water pressure to service the sinks and toilets. Lastly, and often overlooked, is the placement for aesthetic purposes. The bathroom trailer should be easily accessible but not in the way of other activities. Think about a location where it can be conveniently accessed without being a distraction. Regardless of the chosen parking spot, a truck needs to be able to enter and exit the trailer when dropping it off and picking it up.
